Ha Noi (VNA) – Over 200 overseas Vietnamese students from the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Russia and the Ukraine met at the Praha Agricultural University, in the Czech Republic from July 10-13.
At the meeting, participants discussed the conditions for Vietnamese students abroad and the role of youth in the greater Vietnamese community at large and how to introduce measures to strengthen the development of the community.
A series of cultural activities, music performances, sports and sightseeing tours were also on offer to the students, while Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Phu Binh, who doubles as Chairman of the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, presented certificates of merit to 16 students for their outstanding academic results.
The next gathering for young overseas Vietnamese in Europe is scheduled to be held in the Ukraine in the summer of 2008.-Enditem
