Ha Noi (VNA) - The Viet Nam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) has received more than 4,200 GBP as aid from the overseas Vietnamese community in Britain .
The sum was handed over by Trinh Duc Du, a Vietnamese diplomat who was former Ambassador to Britain , to VAVA Vice President Do Xuan Dien in Ha Noi on October 2.
The sum was raised during a gala-night entitled "Ngoi Sao Viet Nam 1" (Viet Nam Star 1), held in Britain jointly by the T&N Entertainment Company and a number of artists from Viet Nam .
Earlier in July, the Vietnamese community in Britain also raised 1,170 GBP as aid to Vietnamese AO victims.
There are about 30,000 Vietnamese people living and working in Britain.-Enditem
