Paris (VNA) – Overseas Vietnamese in France on October 14 hosted a ceremony to express their solidarity with Vietnamese Agent Orange (AO) victims.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vo Sy Dan, President of the Overseas Vietnamese Union in France (UGVF), said the union’s programme to support Vietnamese AO victims has been implemented since 2002 with functional rehabilitation and health care projects, benefiting 170 families so far. The UGVF intends to help 30 more AO children in the coming year, he added.
On October 12, the UGVF sent 7,000 euros (10,000 USD) to the Vietnamese Embassy in France as aid for victims of Typhoon Lekima, which lashed central Viet Nam early this month.-Enditem
