Ha Noi (VNA)- Viet Nam is accelerating the implementation of the Law on Corruption Prevention in localities nationwide, a senior inspector said on October 26, adding that the work will be done in a strict manner.
Government Inspector General Tran Van Truyen made the remark on the sidelines of the on-going session of the 12th National Assembly in Ha Noi.
To improve the corruption prevention work, Truyen said, related agencies are compiling documents on the incomes of high-ranking officials.
The Inspector General said that progress has been made on the Law, with officials now required to make public property holdings and observe regulations on receiving gifts.
However, the Inspector General admitted that the implementation of the law is still nonexistent in some localities, where no specific activities have been taken although documents on corruption prevention have been available.-Enditem
