Ha Noi (VNA)- How to turn impacts of the World Trade Organisation membership into an effective action programme was the goal of unionists at a seminar held in Ha Noi on November 19 in association with Germany’s FES institute.
Experts from the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) discussed with industrial executives and scientists on WTO impacts on industry, agriculture, trade, finance, banking, labour and social arenas so as to further grasp opportunities and challenges to the working force’s living conditions and employments.
Unionists also analysed the VGCL’s operations and workers’ movement under the impact in an effort to work out a more realistic programme of action.
The workshop information will also help unionists map out their way to get further involved in the State policy-making process in the interest of workers.-Enditem
