Bangkok (VNA) – Three overseas Vietnamese in Thailand have been awarded the “For the Education Cause” insignia by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training.
The honour were made in recognition of their contribution to the teaching the Vietnamese language for children of the 4,000-strong Vietnamese community in Thailand’s Nakhon Phnom province.
The awardees, Nguyen Van Khanh, Nguyen Si Tuong and Phan Quoc Loi, were born and grew up in Thailand. They have joined efforts to open a school to teach Vietnamese for overseas Vietnamese and Thai officials in their locality.
The school, established in 2000 at Khanh’s mansion, has five teachers. It offers three classes for trainees of different ages.-Enditem
