Tokyo (VNA) – Japan Investment, Consulting and Services Company (JICS) will invest 200 million USD in the Vietnamese securities market, with support from APEC Securities Company.
It is part of a deal between JICS and APEC Securities, signed on November 27 during a Vietnamese delegation’s visit to Japan .
Nguyen Do Lang, chairman of the company’s management board, said “The deal brings more foreign capital into the local stock market, which will help boost it in the near future.”
Lang said that the deal evidences the attractiveness of the Vietnamese market to overseas investor.
Makoto Kariya, JICS’s director, said Viet Nam’s stock exchange offers much potential to overseas investors. Under the deal, JICS also pledged to become a strategic partner of APEC Securities.
APEC Securities forecasts profits of 55 billion VND (3.4 million USD) by the end of this year. It also plans to list on the Ha Noi Securities Trading Centre early next year.-Enditem
