US diplomat hails Binh Duong’s investment environment

21/12/2007 -- 7:16 PM

Binh Duong (VNA) – Kenneth J Fairfax, the US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City , said he would recommend southern Binh Duong province to US businesses for its favourable environment for investment.

The US Consul General made the statement at a working session with Nguyen Hoang Son, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Duong, on December 20.

Chairman Son reiterated the province’s commitment to continuing facilitating foreign investors’ long-term business in the locality.

Binh Duong is housing 56 US projects with a total capital of more than 330 million USD. The figures are still modest compared to the total of 1,571 foreign investment projects with a combined capital of 8.55 billion USD the province has attracted so far.-Enditem
