Ha Noi (VNA) – Viet Nam and the Islamic Republic of Iran have agreed to expand their cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, culture, sports and tourism.
The agreement was reached during the fifth meeting of the Joint Governmental Economic and Trade Commission between Viet Nam and Iran, which took place in Iran’s capital city of Tehran on December 30.
The Vietnamese delegation to the meeting was led by Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat, while the Iranian delegation, by Commerce Minister Masoud Mirkazemi. They were co-chairmen of the commission.
During the meeting, the two ministers said since the fourth meeting of the commission in Ha Noi in 2005, Viet Nam and Iran have developed their friendship and cooperation dynamically and efficiently.
The same day, the Vietnamese Minister was received by Iran’s First Vice President Parviz Davoudi who affirmed that Iran is willing to broaden its relations to all areas with Viet Nam .
Minister Phat said the fifth meeting of the Commission will be a new step to expand friendship and cooperation between the two countries.-Enditem
