Ha Noi (VNA) – The Ho Chi Minh City bourse reported gains while its Ha Noi-based counterpart continued its downward trend during the January 11 trading session.
The VN-Index at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) jumped 10.7 points to finish at 860.77 points with more than 7.4 million shares, worth over 639 billion VND, changing hands.
Up to 93 stocks rallied for gains while 25 remained unchanged and 25 declined.
Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Bank (STB) led the market in terms of transaction volume, followed by FPT Corp. (FPT), Saigon Securities Inc (SSI), Kinh Do Corp. (KDC) and Binh Dinh Minerals (BMC).
Meanwhile, the Ha Noi Securities Trading Centre’s HaSTC-Index experienced a slight decrease of 1.19 points to close at 289.6 points. More than 2.4 million shares, worth 195 billion VND, were traded.
However, strong increases were still seen in listed prices of several shares including Song Da 99 (S99) (16,500 VND), Song Da 25 (SDJ) (6,300 VND) and Petrochemical and Drilling (PVC) (5,300 VND).-Enditem
