Vietnamese in Cambodia expands activities

Phnom Penh (VNA) – The 27-member executive board of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Cambodia made its debut at a ceremony in Phnom Penh on January 25. The association now has its chapters in 19 localities and is asking the Cambodian Interior Ministry for permission to set up chapters in the remaining five provinces: Kep, Pailin, Oddor Meachey, Mondol Kiri and Preah Vihear. In 2003, the Cambodian Government recognised the association as a social organisation. At present, there are about 110,000 overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia,-Ensditemn
