Ha Noi (VNA) – The Ho Chi Minh City bourse and its Ha Noi-based counterpart both reported losses at the end of the January 17 trading session after one day of strong recovery.
The VN-Index at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) dipped 12.26 points to finish at 833.81 points with nearly 11.5 million shares, worth over 960 billion VND, being traded.
Up to 87 out of 117 listed stocks, including many blue chips, stumbled.
Tay Ninh Cable Tour (CTC) topped the list of shares that recorded strong decreases after having 12,000 VND wiped off its listed price, followed by Binh Minh Plastics (BMP), Bien Hoa Sugar (NSC), Kinh Do Corp. (KDC) and Binh Dinh Minerals (BMC).
Meanwhile, the Ha Noi Securities Trading Centre’s HaSTC-Index also suffered a slight fall of 2.73 points to close at 285.9 points. More than 4.2 million shares, worth over 347 billion VND, changed hands.
The session saw 20 out of 120 listed stocks go down while the others made humble gains or remained unchanged.-Enditem |
