Ha Noi (VNA) – Viet Nam’s stock market continued its downward slide with the VN-Index losing another 27.33 points, or 4.46 percent, to close the March 18 trading session at 588.26 points.
Today’s transaction volume fell with only 9 million shares changing hands at a value of 450 billion VND. The prices of more than 95 percent of listed shares at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange hit ceiling prices and only 20 percent of shares were sold.
The HaSTC-Index at the Ha Noi Securities Trading Centre shed 14.36 points, or 6.83 percent, to close at 195.80 points. Some 7.6 million shares were changed hands at a total value of 359 billion VND.
Construction, realty and financial investment share groups suffered an average loss of 6,000 VND per unit.-Enditem
