Hanoi (VNA) – Both the Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi bourses continued their downward trend during the March 24 trading session.
Although all shares listed at both bourses had their floor prices reduced, there was no buying orders. The prices of shares declined more than 60 percent after four consecutive months of falling.
By closing, the VN-Index at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) lost 24.61 points or 4.51 percent to 521.07 points. More than 10 million shares, worth over 498 billion VND, were traded during the course of the session.
The Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) closed the session with 5.1 million shares worth 245 billion VND changing hands. The HaSTC-Index dropped 13.36 points or almost 7 percent to end at 178.56 points.-Enditem
