Hanoi (VNA) – The capital city’s foreign direct investment has been on the increase, said the Hanoi Statistics Office.
Hanoi attracted 72 foreign direct investment projects, worth 584.8 million USD in total, in the first quarter of the year, including 67 newly-licensed projects totalling 542 million USD, reported the office.
The first three months’ figures were equal in the number of projects but saw a 162 percent increase in capital compared with last year’s corresponding period.
Also in the first quarter, the capital’s social investment capital is estimated at 8.3 trillion VND, a year-on-year rise of 15.2 percent. Of the figure, 1.9 trillion VND came from foreign investment projects and the rest from domestic sources.-Enditem
