IDG affiliate to invest in education website

HCM City (VNA) – The IDG Ventures Vietnam (IDGVV) has become a strategic investor of the Investment and Educational Service Joint Stock Company, which owns the hocmai.vn website. IDGVV, an affiliate of the International Data Group (IDG), is the first investment fund in Vietnam to get involved in the IT sector. Director of the Ministry of Education and Training’s Department of Educational Quality Examination Nguyen An Ninh said the department will coordinate with the hocmai.vn website to provide students with free practice programmes on the Internet. After one year of operation, the ‘school of the digital age’ website, has attracted 320,000 students to join its programmes which are taught online by teachers from the country’s leading high schools and universities.-Enditem
