Hanoi (VNA) – The Ho Chi Minh City bourse continued its downward trend while its Hanoi counterpart made slight increase by the end of the April 25 trading session.
By closing, the VN-Index at the HCM City Stock Exchange lost 2.54 points to finish at 5515.88 points.
The session saw 86 shares decline, 53 rally for gains and 15 remain unchanged.
Hau Giang Pharmaceutical (DHG), Imexpharm Pharmaceutical (IMP), Kinh Do Corporation (KDC) and Vietnam Dairy Products (VNM) were among shares that recorded growth during the day.
Meanwhile, Binh Dinh Minerals (BMC) and Tay Ninh Cable Tour Company (TCT) were among the biggest losers.
The HaSTC-Index at the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre rose by 0.88 points or 0.52 percent to end at 168.95 points.
According to a securities expert from the Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Bank (Sacombank), the national stock market remains gloomy in spite of the slight increase of the HaSTC-Index.-Enditem
